Resolution 344-1999 Board of County Commissioners RESOLUTION NO. 344 -1999 A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, ESTABLISHING NO TRESPASSING AT THE JACKSON SQUARE COURTHOUSE COMPLEX BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 6 PM AND 6 AM EXCEPT FOR GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES OR PERSONS CONDUCTING BUSINESS AT THE COURTHOUSE OR RELATED GOVERNMENT OFFICES UNTIL THE RENOVATION IS COMPLETED; AND AUTHORIZING THE PLACEMENT OF SIGNS INDICATING SAME WHEREAS, the Jackson Square Complex is undergoing major construction; and WHEREAS, the County has hired a security company to provide patrols of the Jackson 3: 0 ~ ::!! No persons may be upon or at the Jackson Square Courthouse Complex, as depicted on Exhibit A, between the hours of 6 PM through 6 AM except for government employees and persons present for the purpose of conducting business at the Courthouse or related government offices, until the renovation is completed. Exhibit A is attached and made a part of this resolution. Section 2. The Jackson Square Courthouse Complex must be posted as provided in Subsec. 810.011 (5)(a), FS, together with the hour limitation and restricted person limitation set forth in Section 1. Section 3. A person not authorized to be upon or at the Jackson Square Courthouse Complex premises between 6 PM and 6 AM must first be given a verbal warning to leave the premises. If he or she fails to promptly leave the premises after the warning, he or she commits th~ offense of trespass on property as set forth in Sec. 810.09, FS. The County employee or contract security officer, unless also a law enforcement officer, must then contact the Key West Police Department or Monroe County Sheriff's Office for assistance. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County, Florida, at a regular meeting of said Board held on the 21 st day of July, 1999.
