Ordinance 015-1996 Contractors E amtAing Rard 0 .T -a ORDINANCE NO. 015-1996 — Z ti AN ORDINANCE AMENDING MONROE COUNTY n rn CODE SECTION 6-56 BY CREATING A NEW , o CATEGORY FOR LOW VOLTAGE SPECIALTY - CONTRACTORS WHO ARE QUALIFIED TO INSTALL, MAINTAIN, REPAIR, ALTER, OR EXTEND ANY LOW VOLTAGE ELECTRICAL CONSTRUCTION LESS THAN FIFTY VOLTS OR EQUIVALENT ROOT MEAN SQUARED; PROVIDING FOR THE REPEAL OF ALL ORDINANCES INCONSISTENT HEREWITH; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; PROVIDING FOR INCORPORATION INTO THE MONROE COUNTY CODE OF ORDINANCES; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA: Section 1. That Section 6-56, Specialty Contractors, of the Monroe County Code is herby amended to add a new category, which shall read as follows: (38) Low Voltage Contractor is qualified to install, maintain, repair, alter or extend any low voltage electrical construction less than fifty volts or equivalent root mean squared. Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict. Section 3. If any section, subsection, sentence, clause, item, change or provision of this ordinance is held invalid, the remainder of this ordinance shall not be affected by such invalidity. Section 4. This ordinance shall become effective upon filing in the Office of the Secretary of State of the State of Florida. • Section 5. The Clerk of the Board is hereby directed to forward a copy of this Ordinance to Municipal Code Corporation for incorporation into the Monroe County Code of Ordinances.
