A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA ENDORSING A REQUEST TO THE DCA
FROM THE COMMERCIAL FISHERMEN OF MONROE COUNTY

WHEREAS, the local commercial fishing industry has been negatively impacted
due to the Groundhog Day Storm, Hurricane Georges, and Tropical Storm Mitch all
within a period of nine months; and
WHEREAS, the Monroe County Commercial Fishermen, Inc. has applied to the
Department of Community Affairs for financial assistance; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE
COUNTY, FLORIDA that this Board endorses the request of the Monroe County
Commercial Fishermen, Inc. in their application to the DCA.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe
County, Florida, at a regular meeting of said Board held on the 8th day of September,
1999.
