WHEREAS, Stanley Kitching was born in Key West on May 31, 1950 to Stanley, Sr. and Lois
W. Kitching and was a lifelong resident of the Keys; and
WHEREAS, Stanley Kitching owned and operated Stan's Marine and Boat Repair Service and
raced boats in the Keys and throughout the U.S. for many years; and
WHEREAS, Stanley Kitching was a motorcycle enthusiast and spent quality time riding in the
Keys with his wife, Janice, and friends; and
WHEREAS, Stanley Kitching was a member of the Florida Keys Corvette Club; and
WHEREAS, Stanley Kitching will be remembered by those who knew him for his warm and
friendly smile; and
WHEREAS, Stanley Kitching leaves his mother, Lois Kitching; his beloved wife, Janice
Kitching; two sons, their spouses; two sisters, their spouses; two grandchildren, numerous nieces and
nephews, and many, many friends to cherish his memory, now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE
COUNTY, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The Board hereby adopts this Resolution as evidence of its regret and mourning
for the passing of the late Stanley Kitching.
Section 2. Mayor Harvey forwards copies of this Resolution to Mr. Kitching's beloved wife,
Janice Kitching, and mother, Lois Kitching, and expresses the Board's sorrow.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County, Florida,
at a regular meeting of said Board held on the 13th day of October 1999.
