Ordinance 056-1996Contractors Examining Board ORDINANCE NO. 056 -1996 AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, AMENDING MONROE COUNTY CODE, SECTION 6-68(d)(4); PROVIDING A TIME LIMITATION FOR A LETTER OF REPRIMAND TO REMAIN IN THE CONTRACTOR'S ACTIVE FILE; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; PROVIDING FOR THE REPEAL OF ALL ORDINANCES INCONSISTENT HEREWITH; PROVIDING FOR INCORPORATION INTO THE MONROE COUNTY CODE OF ORDINANCES; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COUNTY, FLORIDA, THAT: Section 1. Z !'1 COMMISSIONS JOF NgNRCFE 7r; Section 6-68(d) and subsection 6-68(d) (4), Monroe CountZtod¢; are hereby amended to read as follows: (d) A decision shall be made by the examining board by a majority of the entire board within five (5) days after the close of the hearing and delivered to the contractor. The decision shall be one of the following: (4) A letter of reprimand stating the nature of the offense and tie gny action required for correction. A copy of the letter shall also be retained by the building department in a an active file pertaining to the party . for a period of three years. When three Years have elapsed with no further disciplinary actions a letter of reprimand shall be removed from a contractor's active file and Placed in an inactive file Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict. 0 Section 3. If any section, subsection, sentence, clause, item, change or provision of this ordinance is held invalid, the remainder of this ordinance shall not be affected by such invalidity. Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon receipt of official notice from the Office of the Secretary of State of the State of Florida that this ordinance has been filed with said Office. Section 5. The Clerk of the Board is hereby directed to forward a copy of this Ordinance to Municipal Code Corporation for incorporation into the Monroe County Code of Ordinances.
