Horn Architect, P.A., whose address is 915 Eaton Street, Key West, Florida 33040, its successors and assigns, hereinafter referred to as "Consultant". WITNESSETH: WHEREAS, on the 19th day of December 2018,the parties entered into an Agreement for Professional Architectural and Engineering Services ("Agreement"), pursuant to Subsection 287.055(2)(g), Florida Statutes to provide professional services for miscellaneous projects in which construction costs do not exceed Two Million and 00/100 Dollars ($2,000,000.00) or for study activity if the fee for professional services for each individual study under the contract does not exceed Two Hundred Thousand and 00/100 Dollars ($200,000.00); and WHEREAS,the Agreement currently expires on December 18, 2022, and provides for an option to renew the Agreement for up to one additional year; and WHEREAS, the County is in the process of negotiating new continuing services agreements which are expected to be approved by the Board of County Commissioners at the January 2023 meeting; and WHEREAS, the County desires to use the option to renew the Agreement with the Consultant in order to cover the gap between the existing Agreement expiration and execution of the new continuing services agreements. NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual promises, covenants and agreements stated herein and in the original Agreement, and for other good and valuable consideration, the sufficiency of which is hereby acknowledged, the parties agree as follows: 1. Pursuant to Recital No. 3 thereof, the Agreement shall be extended until January 17, 2023. 1 2. The remaining provisions of the Agreement dated December 19, 2018, not inconsistent herewith,remain in full force and effect.
