Resolution 044-2023 Board of County Commissioners RESOLUTION NO. 044 -2023 A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA SUPPORTING THE APPOINTMENT OF CARLA FRY AS THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE MONROE COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT BY THE SURGEON GENERAL OF THE STATE OF FLORIDA. WHEREAS, Florida Statutes 154.04(1)(b) requires the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County, Florida to give its concurrence prior to the appointment of Monroe County Health Department Administrator by the Surgeon General of the State of Florida. WHEREAS, Carla Fry meets the statutory requirement of being trained in public health administration. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA that: 1. The Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County, Florida hereby gives its concurrence for the appointment of Carla Fry as the Administrator of the Monroe County Health Department by the Surgeon General of the State of Florida. 2. The Clerk of the County is hereby directed to forward a copy of this Resolution to the Surgeon General of the State of Florida. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County, Florida, at a regular meeting of said Board held on the January 18, 2023.
