A main goal of the new division is to provide high quality recreation programs at minimal cost throughout the Keys community to promote fun, educational, accessible, and safe programs to individuals of all ages and abilities. As part of this initiative, County staff has identified a need for a Summer Camp program for children and youth in the community during the summer months. The Summer Camp program will operate for 6 to 8 weeks during the months of June, July, and August for children and youth ages of 6-11 who reside within the County. The pilot program will be held at Big Pine Community Park and if successful, will be provided in other locations throughout the County in the summer of 2024. Proposed household tuition is as follows: 1. Weekly camp fee will be $100.00. Additional child fee is to be $50.00 per child. 2. Summer Camp fees are offered at a fifty percent reduced rate for children who qualify for reduced school meals within Monroe County School District. 3.
