ITEM BACKGROUND: EDU allocations for the 2007 non -ad valorem tax roll were based on the PC Code classifications on record with the Monroe County Property Appraiser. The Property Appraiser revised the classification for these properties requiring the Wastewater Non -Ad Valorem Assessments on the preceding tax rolls being adjusted accordingly. Property number 00379190-000000 is reduced from a billing of two (2) EDUs (a total of $882.00 both years) on each of the 2007 and 2008 tax bill to One(1) EDU (a total of $441.00) reflected on the 2009 tax bill. The refund will is a total of $882.00 owed to owner of parcel number 00379190-000000 from cost center 54504. Property number 00121950-000100 was billed a total of five (5) EDUs ($2,205.00) on the 2007 tax bill which was reduced the following year (2008) to one(1) EDU where an EDU (Equivalent Dwelling Unit) is equal to one ELU (Environmental Loading Unit). The refund is a total of $1764.00 owed to the owner of parcel number 001211950-000000 from cost center 54503. PREVIOUS RELEVANT BOCC ACTION: On September 10, 2007 the Monroe County Board of County Commissioners adopted Resolution 302-2007 imposing annual wastewater assessments. "System Development Fee" means that portion of the capital cost of the wastewater system being assessed to each owner of a Tax Parcel up to a maximum of $4,500 per Equivalent Dwelling Unit (EDU). The number of EDUs for residential properties will be the number of residential units for that Tax Parcel as determined by the Property Appraiser at the time of the adoption of the resolution." On July 18, 2007 the BOCC adopted Resolution 264-2007 establishing the amount and term of the annual wastewater assessment for each parcel of property to be assessed. CONTRACT/AGREEMENT CHANGES: N/A.
