The amount requested is $11,867.00. The attached Release of Owner Contingency Request provides the details. This is being provided to ensure the BOCC is aware of this change. Basis for Recommended Action: 1. The requested release does not increase the total cost of the project as approved by the BOCC, and it will have no impact to contract time. 2. The scope for which the release is requested is within the intended project scope. 3. The release is not based upon an error or omission by the designer or the general contractor. Background: This is a cost change to the Contingency related to RFI 189, dated 03/20/2023, for the clarification that the the two (2) water fountains, tagged E27 on the Architectural sheets, are intented to be the model Elkay EZWS-ERPBM28K, which are recessed units with a bottle filler, not the Elkay LZSTL-8- C tagged EWC-1 on the plumbing sheets and schedule. This includes minor electrical changes for in wall rough in and the addition of a chase wall at water fountain wall between Restrooms 255 & 256. See attached cut sheet. Architectural Sheet A-152 calls for the two(2)water fountains,tagged E27,to be model Elkay EZWS-ERPBM28K,which are recessed units with a bottle filler.See attached cut sheet. Please advise on which model is desired. If the Elkay EZWS-ERPBM28K is desired,a minimum 12"chase wall is required behind the unit,which is currently available between RRs 204&205, but not between 255&256.Additionally,the electrical rough in is different for these units as you can see on the cut sheets.These are hard wired in the wall, not plugged into a receptacle. If these units are selected then the GFCI duplex receptacles shown on E-102 underneath will have to be removed as they will be in conflict with the stainless steel vent.
