AGENDA ITEM WORDING: Approval to advertise a Request for Bids for Janitorial services at the
Department of Juvenile Justice Building, Second Floor, Stock Island.
ITEM BACKGROUND: To date, janitorial activities have been performed by the Monroe County
Sheriff's Office utilizing Trustees with the county paying for supplies. Due to operational/security
issues with the civilian and trusty populations, it has become desirous to have these activities
performed by a civilian contractor.
