RE: Appointment to CDBG Citizens Task Force
I've been in the Florida Keys for the past nine years, when I moved down from
Cleveland, Ohio. I originally came down on vacation as so many of us did and I fell
in love with the area and my lovely lady Dyna during that two weeks. I moved down
permanently and started working in the hotel industry. I have since worked my way
through various properties, increasing my knowledge of the areas ranging from Big
Pine Key to Islamorada and I currently manage a condominium property in
Marathon.
I bought my home in 2004 through the Middle Keys Community Land Trust, through
their affordable housing qualifying program, and have been the managing President
of the Overseas Village Homeowner's Association since it was turned over to the
residents. I've found my home and have no plans to leave my little slice of
paradise.
Hopefully this will fulfill the bio request. Should you have any questions, you can
contact me on my cellular at 786-546-6678.
Regards,
Derrick A. Johnson, C.H.S.
