ITEM BACKGROUND: The County's property policy has a $1,000,000 per location windstorm
deductible. This policy covers the deductible amount.
PREVIOUS RELEVANT BOCC ACTION: Accepted property insurance proposal with per
location deductible. This policy was previously approved by the Board on 4/16/08.
CONTRACT/AGREEMENT CHANGES: Decrease in premium of $285. The new renewal dates
are 5/29/09 — 5/29/2010.
STAFF RECOMMENDATIONS: Approval to renew the policy as submitted by Citizens
Property Insurance Corporation.

This item requests approval to pay $257,723 renewal premium (which is a decrease of $285 from last year) to
Citizens Property Insurance Corporation for the County's windstorm policy. The policy offers various
deductibles by location and insures the County's building and contents scheduled on the policy for damages
resulting from wind.
It is recommended that the BOCC approve the policy for the period of 5/29/09 — 5/29/10. If you have any
