Dimension Network
Contract
This item requests approval to contract with Dimension Health, Inc. for the period of May 20, 2009 - May
19,2012 at the cost of $52,107 per year. Dimension is the current PPO Network for the areas of Dade,
Broward & Palm Beach Counties. As part of the bid process, Dimension proposed an alternate network
arrangement, "Dimension Plus Network", which would be an additional cost to the County of $28,422 per
year. Utilizing the proposed network offers greater savings through higher discounts. Based on the current
utilization of providers within this network, it is projected that the additional savings for FY 09/10 will be
$350,000. This indicates that it is a worthwhile decision to accept the alternate network proposal.
It is therefore recommended that the Board approve this request. If you have any questions on this item,
please do not hesitate to contact me at X4458.
