Attached is proposed Credit of Contingency Funds 440 for the Fl Keys Marathon Airport Non-
Aeronautical Use Building (EOC)project. This does not affect the contract amount, but credits
contingency funds already included in the Guaranteed Maximum Price for work that was determined to
be unnecessary.
The amount requested is $3,080.00. The attached Credit of Owner Contingency Request provides the
details. This is being provided to ensure the BOCC is aware of this change. Please contact me with any
questions. If there are none with the normal 24-hour window, I will approve the request.

Action Requested: Approval for credit of contingency funds in the
amount of $ 3,080.00 as outlined below.
Basis for Recommended Action:
1. The requested release does not increase the total cost of the project as approved by the
BOCC, and it will have no impact to contract time.
2. The scope for which the release is requested is within the intended project scope.
3. The release is not based upon an error or omission by the designer or the general
contractor.
Background:
This is a credit change to the Contingency related to RFI 232 response, dated 06/21/2023, to eliminate
the casework shown around sink HL-2 in room 231-Rest Room per detail #5 on ID-202. Per RFI
response, this is a finished fixture and does not need to be set in casework.

Separately, this RF1 also updated all other stairwells doors
from 1hr to 2hr and all glazing in these stairwell doors from
45min to 90min rating.There is no cost associated with
these latter upgrades.

fixture in casework.As you can see from the attached product data this fixture is a finished model and is not intended to be
mounted in casework. Please review RFI-232 sketch and advise if we can eliminate the casework in Room 231-Unisex
Restroom and center the fixture on the mirror?
