Task Work Order No. 9 will consist of engineering services required for an update to the Bridge Assessment Report. KCA will provide a detailed evaluation of 20 of the 26 Monroe County Bridges. Six County bridges currently scheduled for replacement and will only be acknowledged in the report as such. County owned pedestrian bridges will be acknowledged in the report, but a detailed evaluation will not be included. 20 Bridges will receive a complete updated evaluation including investigation, inspection, repair prioritization, and cost estimates for the possible maintenance, rehabilitation, and/or replacement of the County owned bridges. The specific tasks required for this project are detailed below: • Obtain available bridge inspection reports and existing bridge plans for each of the 20 County Bridges. • Perform a detailed review of all bridge files to determine/categorize maintenance and repair items. • Field investigate/inspect bridges as necessary when sufficient information is not available for all deficiencies. • Estimate repair quantities for each bridge. • Calculate estimated costs associated with the assumed repairs and maintenance for each bridge. • Calculate estimated costs associated with the replacement of each bridge (Assume bridge to be replaced in kind. Increase bridge width when justified to correct deficient geometry or add pedestrian features. Recommend bridge repair projects that will extend bridge service life to replacement date. We have estimated the level of effort required for all engineering services described above. Our total estimated lump sum fee amounts to $148,904. This fee includes all KCA efforts, coordination, QA/QC, and supervision. The fee estimate is based on hourly rates which include our overhead. Our expenses were estimated separately and are not included in the lump sum fee estimate. Our total estimated expenses amount to $4,000. Expenses will be itemized and submitted separately with each invoice.
