A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
MONROE COUNTY TO APPROVE THE GRANT APPLICATIONS AND
AUTHORIZE THE COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR TO SUBMIT SUCH
APPLICATIONS WITH THE FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF
ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION FOR THE RESILIENT FLORIDA
CAPITAL GRANTS; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE; AND FOR
OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the Florida Department of Environmental Protection has a grant program pursuant to Section
380.093, Florida Statutes known as the "Resilient Florida" program; and
WHEREAS, the Resilient Florida grant program provides funds to local governments to undertake capital
resilience projects addressing flood risk with and without match requirements; and
WHEREAS, the Monroe County Board of County Commissioner seeks to apply for two road
adaptation capital grant applications, two shoreline adaptation capital projects and two supplemental
funding applications; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners for Monroe County approves the applications and
authorizes the County Administrator to submit the applications under the 2023 Resilient Florida program.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MONROE COUNTY BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS, FLORIDA,AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: The Monroe County Board of County Commissioners hereby authorizes the
County Administrator to submit the following applications with the Florida Department of
Environmental Protection under the Resilient Florida program:
