Staff have participated in demonstrations by several vendors of these systems, and we are close to making a decision on the purchase. We anticipate piggybacking on the contract already in or Lee County, which will eliminate the need for the RFP process, saving time and have been working with the County Purchasing Office to this end. The original our automation system was made possible by the use of impact fees, and we are ission to use those funds again for the purchase of an updated system, with the uipment, which will be more efficient for staff and offer enhanced catalog ur patrons. 1 Monroe County Board of County Commissioners Impact Fee Expenditure Request Section 1 - To be completed by requesting department Requestor: Norma Kula Title: Director of Libraries Date: 11/23/09 Facility type: Library System Project name Library Automation Migration and Upgrade Total Project Cost (capital only) $: $ 175.000.00 Description of project: Migration from current Integrated Library System to an upgraded system to meet increased patron usage and improve services through newer technology (current system is 10 years old).
