The property is zoned Sparsely Settled and Native Area, is designated Tier 1 – Natural Area, and consists of tropical hardwood hammock uplands, salt marsh and buttonwood transitional wetlands, and mangrove wetlands. The sales price of $450,600 corresponds to the property’s appraised value based on an appraisal commissioned for the US Fish and Wildlife Service. The estimated closing costs and net proceeds from this sale are listed in the agenda packet spreadsheet. __________________________________________________________________________________ Advisory Committee Action: On August 25, 2009 the Committee voted 5/0 to approve this sale. __________________________________________________________________________________ Previous Governing Board Action: The Board approved the purchase of the subject property from multiple sellers via 12 transactions during the period from 1989 to 1992. The proposed sale to the federal government will be the Land Authority’s second within two years.
