Although I feel like I have always simply been following my personal path I have been told I have a depth and background that is very unique for the Keys. I would have to agree that there are not many here that have had the breadth of corporate experiences that I have had without being retired. Suffice it to say that I get anxious unless I'm very busy. I have been looking forward to serving on this board since Alison first brought it to my attention about 4-5 months ago. I know there are so many more things that can be done than is typical. It simply takes looking at the situation from a slightly different angle than we are used to. I'm sure I can help, In addition to the information in my resume you might find it interesting to know the following: I was one of the original team members along with Alison Higgins & Diane Marshall who started the effort that became GLEE way back in 2001-02 My wife and I are currently finishing up the construction of our home, the only fully off-grid, self sustainable home in Marathon. Over the last 7+ years I did most of the systems design work on the two notable "off-grid" homes in Marathon: East Sister's Rock and Seabird Key. Most of the homes on No-Name-Key have been upgraded or serviced by me and my previous company. Many ot the homes on Cook Island and the other neighboring islands have systems & improvements I designed. I have a lot of direct experience with doing green projects for many years. I think it can be made easier, better, and more prevalent with the efforts of a board like this. Don't hesitate to call any time.
