The revised purpose of the agreement is the construction of a new terminal project at the Key West International Airport. The terminal project includes the construction of a new terminal building and a remodeling and reuse of the existing terminal building. Project elements include Construction of a Passenger Terminal Complex including a new elevated building of 30,000 square feet, vehicle ramps and roadway up to the new building, an elevated parking structure, vehicle parking underneath the new building, bridges (one pedestrian and one baggage) connecting the new building to the existing building, and total remodeling of the existing terminal to include conversion of the existing maintenance shop into airline operations offices.
