Monroe County Board of County Commissioners
Harvey Government Center ~
1200 Truman Avenue
Key West, FL 33040
Honorable Commissioners:
Please accept this letter as notice of my resignation from the Monroe
County Workforce Housing Task Force. It has been my honor to serve on
this committee since it's inception and to represent the interests of those
in our community that are being forced out of the Keys by the high cost of
housing in our islands. However it is becoming increasingly more difficult to
mix my duties as a member of the Islamorada Village Coun~jf and provide
the proper attention needed to my service on the task force. With the
ever increasing divergence in my views on affordable housing priorities and
procedures and the development interests of the majority on the task
force the restrictions on my time from my other duties no longer allows me
to provide an effective voice on this committee and my position would be
best served by a new appointee from the Islamorada and Tavernier area.
r thank you for the opportunity to serve the county these past three years
and wish you well in your continuing efforts to address the workforce
housing needs of our islands.
