Attached is proposed Change Order Memo #2 for the Monroe County Historic Jail Museum Buildout
Project. This change order increases the final contract sum by $28,2147.57. The substantial
completion date is increased 58 days.
Monroe County Ordinance 027-1998 and subsequent amendments provide authority for the
Administrator to approve change orders within specified limits after providing Board of County
Commissioners with at least 24 hours to review them and pose any questions or objections that they
may have.
It is the Administrator's intent to approve the attached change order under that authority after the 24-
hour BOCC notification time.

Detailed description of change order and justification:
Additional finish carpentry is now possible due to the cost savings realized in change order one. Contractor will
furnish and install cabinets, wall panels, and additional lighting. Contractor will also fabricate and install new
exterior signage. Contractor requested 80 additional days. The TDC grant ends 913012023 therefore the contract
will be extended 58 days.
