ITEM BACKGROUND: On November 2, 2006, Statements of Qualifications (SOQ's) from five
ArchitecturalJEngineering firms were received for professional services associated with the ADA
Compliance Assessments for County Facilities and Roads. On January 23, 2007, in a notified public
meeting, presentations were conducted by all five firms and were ranked according to evaluation
criteria. MBI/K2M Architecture out-ranked the other four firms.

AGENDA ITEM WORDING: Approval to negotiate a contract with MBI/K2M Architecture
for the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Compliance Assessments for County Facilities and
Roads.
ITEM BACKGROUND: On November 2, 2006, Statements of Qualifications from five
Architectural/Engineering firms were received for professional services associated with the ADA
Compliance Assessments for County Facilities and Roads. On January 23, 2007, in a notified
public meeting, presentations were conducted by all five firms and were ranked according to
evaluation criteria. MBI/K2M Architecture out-ranked the other four firms.
The project schedule is in four phases. Phase 1 - Data Collection and Review; Phase II - Field
Investigation; Phase ill - Draft ADA Compliance Reports; and Phase W - Final ADA
Compliance Reports.
