AGENDA ITEM WORDING:
Approval to schedule and advertise an Attorney-Client Closed Session of the Board of County
Commissioners in the matter of EEOC v. Monroe County. Charge No. 510-2006-04265 for the
regularly scheduled BOCC meeting to be held March 21, 2007.
ITEM BACKGROUND:
Per F.S. 286.011(8), the subject matter of the meeting shall be confined to settlement negotiations or
strategy sessions related to litigation expenditures.
Present at the meeting will be the Commissioners, the County Administrator, the County Attorney
Suzanne Hutton, Chief Assistant County Attorney Bob Shillinger and Michael T. Burke, Esq. of
Johnson, Anselmo, Murdoch, Burke, Piper & McDuff, P.A., the County's counsel in this litigation, and
a certified court reporter.

NOTICE OF ATTORNEY-CLIENT CLOSED SESSION
The Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County, Florida, pursuant to Section
286.011(8), Florida Statutes will hold a Closed Attorney-Client Session during a public meeting to be
held on Wednesday. March 21. 2006. at 8:30 A.M. or as soon thereafter as may be heard. at the
Marathon Government Center, 2798 Overseas Highway, Mile Marker 50, Marathon, Florida.
Those persons attending the Closed Session will be the County Commissioners, County
Administrator, County Attorney Suzanne A. Hutton, Chief Assistant County Attorney Bob Shillinger
and litigation counsel for the County Michael T. Burke, Esq. of Johnson, Anselmo, Murdoch, Burke,
Piper & McDuff, P,A., and a certified court reporter. The purpose of the Closed Session concerns
pending litigation in the case of EEOC v. Monroe County. Charge No. 510-2006-04265 in which the
County is presently a party. At the end of this Closed Session, the public portion of the meeting will
be opened.
