CORPORATION TO INCLUDE AS A PART OF THE EMPLOYMENT PROCESS, AN OUTSTANDING WARRANT, BACKGROUND CHECK AND PHYSICAL EXAMINATION. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA: Section 1. That the attached Resolution of the Board of Directors of the 3406 N. Roosevelt Blvd. Corporation is hereby incorporated and made a part hereof. ROOSEVELT BLVD. CORPORATION TO INCLUDE AS A PART OF THE EMPLOYMENT PROCESS AN OUTSTANDING WARRANT/ BACKGROUND CHECK AND PHYSICAL EXAMINATION. WHEREAS, the 3406 N. Roosevelt Blvd. Corporation's sole purpose is to serve the administrative, research, sales and marketing functions of the Monroe County Tourist Development Council; and WHEREAS, Monroe County Tourist Development Council (TDC) is a nine-member board which serves as the Board of Directors of the 3406 N. Roosevelt Blvd. Corporation (Corporation) ; and WHEREAS, the Corporation wishes to ensure the personal ethics and business integrity of the Corporation, the TDC and the Monroe County Board of County Commissioners, by utilizing warrant/background checks and pre-employment physical examinations in the employment process; NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE 3406 N. ROOSEVELT BLVD. CORPORATION that: Section 1. A policy is established that the Corporation shall conduct warrant/background checks and have physical examinations performed as a part of the employment process. Section 2. The Corporation shall follow the guidelines of the Monroe County Personnel Policies and Procedures Manual with respect to medical examinations, including the ability to require a physical and/or psychiatric examination at any time during an employee's employment, which may include blood and/or urine testing for drug or alcohol usage, based on reasonable suspicion. Section 3. Warrant/background checks shall not be required for persons who are employees as of February 13, 1996. PASSED AND ADOPTED by a majority vote of the Board of Directors of the 3406 N.
