Resolution 234-2024 RESOLUTION NO. 234 -2024 A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY TO APPROVE THE GRANT APPLICATIONS AND AUTHORIZE THE COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR TO SUBMIT SUCH APPLICATIONS WITH THE FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION FOR THE RESILIENT FLORIDA CAPITAL AND PLANNING GRANTS; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. WHEREAS, the Florida Department of Environmental Protection has a grant program pursuant to Section 380.093, Florida Statutes known as the "Resilient Florida"program; and WHEREAS, the Resilient Florida grant program provides funds to local governments to undertake capital resilience projects addressing flood risk with and without match requirements; and WHEREAS, the Monroe County Board of County Commissioner seeks to apply for two road adaptation capital grant applications and a planning grant application; and WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners for Monroe County approves the applications and authorizes the County Administrator to submit the applications under the 2024 Resilient Florida program.
