COMMENTS
The office of Clerk vas vacant from September 11. 1959
to September 23, 1959 Mrs. Florence A Gomez vas appointed Clerk
ae interim on September 24, 1959 . by Judge Thomas S Caro end
served in that capacity until October 5. 1959 at which time the
present Clerk was commissioned No financial transactions
transpired during the period served by Mrs Gomez
Prenumbored receipts were issued for all collections ai
record and were entered in a cashbook, as required by Chapter 219.
Florida Statutes, and all collections mere deposited in an official
bank :.ecount No juror and witness payrolls or payroll advauce3
here on hand at April 30, 1961
Fines and costs from criminal court convictions were
collected by the Sheriff

The Clerk had jury peyroll receipts and disbursements ehich are

The Board of County Commissioners paid the Clerk a monthly salary of
$500 as prescribed by Chapter 57-810, Acts of 1957 Correct retirement
deductions were made and remitted by the county.
The Clerk s employee was paid by the county and proper retirement
deductions were made
