A special budget meeting of the Monroe County Board of County Commissioners
convened at 10:00 a.m. at the Marathon Government Center, and via Communication Media
Technology. Present and answering to roll call were Commissioner Michelle Lincoln,
Commissioner David Rice, Commissioner Jim Scholl, and Mayor Holly Raschein.
Commissioner Craig Cates was absent from the meeting. Also present at the meeting were Kevin
Wilson, Acting County Administrator; Bob Shillinger, County Attorney; Kevin Madok, County
Clerk; Liz Yongue, Deputy Clerk; county staff, members of the press and radio; and the general
public.
ADDITIONS, CORRECTIONS & DELETIONS
Al Motion was made by Commissioner Lincoln and seconded by Commissioner Scholl
granting approval of the Additions, Corrections and Deletions to the agenda. Motion carried
unanimously.
COUNTY ATTORNEY
B 1 A Public Hearing was held to receive public feedback regarding a Comprehensive
Agreement with Fortress Secured, LLC, for delivery of a new fire station for the County at
the current location of the Sugarloaf Volunteer Fire Department's Station 10. Kevin Wilson,
Acting County Administrator, addressed the Board. There was no public input. The Board took
no official action.
FISCAL YEAR 2025 BUDGET PRESENTATION
D Tina Boan, Senior Director of Budget and Finance, gave a Power Point Presentation of
the Fiscal Year 2025 Budget. Fire Chief Jim Callahan, Monroe County Fire Rescue; and Roman
Gastesi, former County Administrator, addressed the Board. The following individual addressed
the Board: Kim Sikora. Mr. Wilson addressed the Board.

E1 Ms. Boan announced the millage rate and percent above/below the rolled-back rate to be
certified by the Property Appraiser.
