Task Order #2024-CMS-272
For the Installation and Maintenance of Aids to Navigation and Regulatory Markers
Date: November 22, 2024
Coffin Marine Services, Inc. is hereby authorized to proceed with the work associated with the replacement of
regulatory and channel markers in Cow Key Channel, Riviera Canal and Stock Island Channel as described in the
Invitation for Quotes dated November 15, 2024 and in the contractor's quote dated November 22, 2024.
The County agrees to pay the proposed cost of$18,600.00 upon satisfactory completion of the work and receipt
of an invoice and photographs.
The contractor shall make every effort to complete the work by January 10, 2024.
Please proceed with ordering any necessary signs and supplies (as needed) and prepare to perform the work.
General Requirements: All terms and conditions in the Contract for Installation and Maintenance ofAids to
Navigation and Regulatory Markers in Monroe County shall apply to this Task Order.
Additional Instructions: contractor shall provide all required materials for the work associated with this task
order.
• All documents required for payment (including but not limited to invoices,photographs and
complete disposal/recycling tickets) shall be submitted electronically to and received by the
Monroe County Marine Resources Office.
The invoice must include:
1. The date(s)that repair work was completed.
2. The invoice number and date.
The photographs shall include:
1. The work site prior to commencement of installation/maintenance work.
2. The installment process -documenting the methods of installation.
3. The work site after installation/ maintenance is completed from the same
angle and position as the photograph(s) documenting the condition of the
work site prior to commencement of work.
• Hired contractors are authorized to install and/or complete maintenance work for moorings,
boundary buoys, and other markers and their associated anchors under Monroe County's Florida
Keys National Marine Sanctuary ("FKNMS")Permit No. FKNMS-2023-133.
• A copy of Permit No. FKNMS-2023-133 and a copy of Task Order No. 2024-CMS-272 shall at
all times be available at the removal site while conducting mooring, buoy, or other Aids to
Navigation and Regulatory Markers installation and/or maintenance work for Monroe County.
• The contractor shall adhere to all FKNMS-2023-133 permit conditions, FKNMS regulations and
follow the attached FKNMS Best Management Practices for Vessel, Aircraft and Debris Recovery
and Removal Operations ("BMPs"). Failure to follow the FKNMS-2023-133 permit conditions,
FKNMS regulations, and/or BMPs may subject the contractor to State and Federal fines and
penalties.
