AGENDA ITEM WORDING:
Approval to sponsor the 2025 Wounded Warrior Soldier Ride in the amount of $3,000.00 and in
accordance with Airport promotional sponsorship Resolution No. 123-2021.
ITEM BACKGROUND:
The Airport desires to promote goodwill throughout the County by sponsoring events such as the
annual Wounded Warrior Soldier Ride happening January 10-11, 2025. EYW has been a sponsor of the
Wounded Warrior Soldier Ride for several consecutive years. It has become a popular event among
riders, support staff and visitors. As seen in the attached documents, the sponsorship will be promoted
online via numerous social media accounts in addition to advertising in local media publications and is
expected to be viewed at least 200,000 times.

The Wounded Warriors "Soldier Ride" event is scheduled to take place in the Florida Keys
January 10-11, 2025. This annual event has become quite popular with the riders, support staff
and visitors and we expect over 4,000 people to come out throughout the Keys to support the
event. We would like to request your continued support in your sponsorship in the amount of
$3,000.00 to support this annual event.
Schedule of Events:
Friday,January 11'
Key Largo to Islamorada, start 8:30a.m. from VFW Post 10211, Break 9:30a.m. Coral Shores
High School, ending at 10:30am at the Post Card Inn.
Marathon to Big Pine Key, starting at 1:00p.m. from Marathon Fire Station, l:30p.m. crossing
the 7-mile bridge, and ending at 2:30p.m. at the Veteran's Memorial Beach.
Saturday, January 121h
Key West and Boca Chica, starting at 10:30a.m. from Boca Chica Field to the Welcome
Ceremony, Noon at Bayview Park.
The Key West International Airport will receive recognition via the following methods:
• Sponsor Recognition on all marketing pieces print, radio, and social media.
• Sponsor Recognition during welcome/reception remarks at all sponsored events
• Sponsorship Banner Display during the event

The event will be promoted online on numerous social media accounts including the Military
Affairs Committee of Key West, and the City of Key West in addition through advertising in
print through local medial publications including the Keys Weekly with "in print" advertisement
of 5,000 in Key West and Big Pine, and over 200,000 online views per month totaling 10,000
advertisements and 400,000 views online. All press releases and marketing pieces will include
Key West International Airport as a major sponsor.
We would like to extend a special invitation to you to attend the dinner Friday evening held at
the"Fly Navy" Pavilion at 6:30p.m. on Trumbo Point Annex, as well as the dinner Saturday
evening at La Trattoria Oceanside at 5:00p.m. You will be announced as a sponsor and
introduced to the riders and attendees.
