Henson, Eng I 222A to one three-year term to the Contractors Examining Board(CEB)beginning May 22, 2025 and ending May 22, 2028. ITEM BACKGROUND: The Contractors Examining Board(CEB)voted unanimously recommending the re-appointment of Mr. Steve R. Henson to the CEB at their regularly scheduled March 11, 2025 meeting. Mr. Henson holds a local Engineering Contractor license, Eng I 222A, and serves on the CEB pursuant to Monroe County Code Section 6-263(1). PREVIOUS RELEVANT BOCC ACTION: Mr. Steve R. Henson was originally appointed to one three-year term to the CEB beginning 17, 1997 and ending October 18, 2000 replacing Mr. Frank Toppino. He was allowed to serve one three-year term, re-appointment from October 2000 and ending October 2003. He was re-appointed October 2003 and ending October 2006. After this term he was not allowed to serve an additional consecutive three- year term due to term limits pursuant to MCC 6-85. Mr. Henson was appointed to serve one three-year term May 16, 2007 and ending May 16, 2010. He was re-appointed to serve one three-year term May 19, 2010 and ending May 19, 2013; reappointed May 15, 2013 and ending May 15, 2016; re-appointed April 20, 2016 and ending May 15, 2019; re- appointed May 22, 2019 and ending May 22, 2022; re-appointed May 22, 2022 and ending May 22, 2025. On March 21, 2007, The BOCC approved advertising the amendment to MCC Section 6-85 repealing term limits for members of the CEB. The ordinance was amended effective May 2, 2007 removing term limitations. Per MCC 6-264 (a) regular voting members and two alternate voting members are appointed by the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC).
