Should you have any questions please feel free to contact me at(305) 292-3550. cc: County Attorney Finance File KEY WEST MARATHON PLANTATION KEY 500 Whitehead Street 3117 Overseas Highway 88770 Overseas Highway Key West, Florida 33040 Marathon, Florida 33050 Plantation Key, Florida 33070 FIRST AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT BETWEEN MONROE COUNTY AND RALON'S SECURITY, LLC (Duck Key Security Services) THIS FIRST AMENDMENT to the Agreement dated April 17, 2024, between Monroe County Board of County Commissioner (`County' or `Owner') and Ralon's Security, LLC (`Contractor')is made and entered into this 161h day of April 2025, WHEREAS, the parties entered into the Agreement for the Contractor to provide security patrols and services for the Duck Key Security District(DKSD); and WHEREAS, Section 4 of the Agreement permits the amount of compensation payable to Contractor to be adjusted annually in accordance with the percentage change in the Consumer Price Index for all urban consumers (CPI-U) for the most recent twelve (12) months available; and WHEREAS, at a public meeting held on March 4, 2025, the DKSD Advisory Board voted to approve an adjustment to compensation payable to Contractor under the Agreement in an amount equal CPI-U for calendar year 2024, conditioned upon such increase being applied towards an increase in the rate of pay for employees assigned to DKSD security patrols; and WHEREAS, Contractor agrees to the adjustment of compensation payable under the Agreement under the conditions established by the DKSD Advisory Board; NOW THEREFORE, IN CONSIDERATION of the mutual promises contained herein, the parties hereby agree as follows: 1. In accordance with Paragraph 4, TERM OF CONTRACT, the compensation payable to Contractor shall be adjusted by 2.9%, the CPI-U for the most recent twelve (12) months ending on December 31, 2024. 2. Effective April 17, 2025, Section 3 of the Agreement, PAYMENTS TO THE CONTRACTOR, shall be amended as follows: The contract is for $85,410.00 (eighty five thousand four- hundr-ed teff dollars and zero eents) $87,887.00 (eighty-seven thousand eight hundred eighty- seven dollars and zero cents) annually based on the number of hours worked at the rate of $30.10 (thirty dollars and ten cents). Contractor shall be compensated for those additional hours required by the District's Board and which are within the annual budget of this contract; the total of all payments, including the routine security and the additional hours shall not exceed $92,000.00 (fiinet-y two thousand dollars and zero ee $94,668.00 (ninety-four thousand six hundred sixty-eight dollars and zero cents). Monroe County's performance and obligation to pay under contract is contingent upon an annual appropriation by the BOCC.
