SUBJECT: Proposed Change Order to be Approved
Attached is proposed Change Order#1 for the East Martello Tower Exterior Lighting project. This
change order increases the final contract sum by$24,915.77. The substantial completion date is
increased by Ten (10) days.
Monroe County Ordinance 027-1998 and subsequent amendments provide authority for the
Administrator to approve change orders within specified limits after providing Board of County
Commissioners with at least 24 hours to review them and pose any questions or objections that they
may have.
It is the Administrator's intent to approve the attached change order under that authority after the 24-
hour BOCC notification time.

Detailed description of change order and justification:
Monroe County Proiect Management in collaboration with the Key West Art and Historical Society
(KWAHS), who manage the property as a museum, requested additional lighting upgrades be added to the
property and the Contractor's scope of work to take advantage of the Contractor's availability and electrical
expertise. The Contractor has requested an additional 10 days be added to the contract time for this
additional work. The previous substantial completion date was September 29, 2025.
This change Order is 15.3% of the original contract price.

Subject East Martello Tower Exterior Lighting
Location: Key West, FL
Dear Mr. Sanders,
We are pleased to submit our electrical proposal for your consideration to install the electrical requirements for
the above referenced project. Our price is based on and in accordance with the electrical drawings and
specifications listed below.

In addition to, and in clarification of the above, the following is made a part of our quotation:
PFEC offer the following quotation in response to your request for the service referenced below. We will provide
the labor necessary to perform the work based on our interpretation of the specifications provided to us by you. All
work will be performed by technicians who have been trained to perform this work safely and effectively.
• Provide and install the track lighting package specified by the owner at a total of 9 locations.
Dimensions are 10' x 14' or 8' x 16'. Connect New tracking lights with existing lighting system.
• Provide material and labor to replace two corroded existing outdoor distribution panels with new
NEMA 3R electrical panels/load centers.
We have excluded the following:
• Design.
• Davis Bacon Wages.
• Bond. (Can be provided during the request ADD 1.5%)
• Temporary toilets and or facility and services.
• Work outside of normal working hours(0700— 1700)
Price for work described above: $24,915.77 (Twenty-Four Thousand, Nine Hundred Fifteen
and seventy-seven cents).
This proposal includes general liability and workman compensation. Proposal is good for Thirty (30)
Days from the date of proposal. All work is to be as specified. All work to be completed in a
workmanlike manner according to the standard practices. All work to be performed Monday through
Friday in normal working hours (7:OOAM to 5:OOPM).

a) This proposal is based on performing the entire scope of work described above in one Contract.
b) Any alteration or deviation from the above specifications involving extra costs will be executed only
upon written orders and will become an extra charge over and above this estimates.
c) PFEC shall be paid every month,but no later than 30 calendar days after pay app submission,regardless
if Prime Contractor and or Toppino received payment from Owner.
d) All information on this proposal is confidential and cannot be copied and or distributed without
Pedro Falcon Electrical Contractors,Inc written authorization.
e) Service is quoted as one site mobilization. Delays not attributable to PFEC which result in additional site
visits would result in a request for a change order.
