Section 13-29, Monroe County Code, is hereby amended to read as follows: Sec. 13-29. Ad valorem tax may be levied. An ad valorem tax, at a millage rate not to exceed one quarter of one mill ($0.00025) on each dollar ($1.00) of assessed value of real property, is hereby established in Monroe County for a period of five (5) fiscal years, commencing in fiscal year 1992 1993, The aoverrjnq body may levy an ad valorem tax not to exceed one-quarter of one mill ($0.000251 on each dollar 1$1.001 of assessed value of real property in Monroe County for the purpose of funding the translator sy;tems of Monroe County. The translator system shall consist of five (5) translator towers which shall provide for the reception of five (5) channels through said system. The tax shall not be effective in the municipalitiE:S until approved by the governing bodies thereof. Section 2. If any section, subsection, sentence, clause or provision of this ordinance is held invalid, the remainder of this ordirlance shall not be affected by such invalidity. Section 3. All ordinances or parts of ordnarces in conflict with this ordinance are hereby repealed to the extent of said conflict. Section 4. The provisions of this ordinance shall be included and incorporated in the Code of Ordinances of the County of Mcnroe. Florida, as an addition or amendment thereto, and shall be appropriately renumbered to conform to the uniform numbering system of the Code. Section 5. This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon receipt of official notice from the Office of the Secretary of State of the State of Florida that this ordinance has been filed with said Office. The tax shall not be effective in the municipalities until approved by the governing bodies thereof. Section 2. If any section, subsection, sentence, clause or provision of this ordinance is held invalid, the remainder of this ordirlance shall not be affected by such invalidity. Section 3. All ordinances or parts of ord:narces in cO:lflict with this ordinance are hereby repealed to the extent of said conflict. Section 4. The provisions of this ordinance shall be included and incorporated in the Code of Ordinances of the County of Mcnroe, Florida, as an addition or amendment thereto, and shall be appropriately renumbered to conform to the uniform numbering system of the Code.
