AGENDA ITEM WORDING: Selection of the Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Governing
Board.
ITEM BACKGROUND:
Florida Statues section 380.0663 requires the Land Authority Governing Board to select a Chairman
and Vice Chairman on an annual basis. Each commissioner is eligible to serve as Chairman or Vice
Chairman and the statute does not limit the number of terms a commissioner may hold either position.
PREVIOUS RELEVANT BOCC ACTION:
Last year the Board selected Commissioner Rice as Chairman and Commissioner Lincoln as Vice
Chairman.
