PREVIOUS RELEVANT BOCC ACTION: The Monroe County Board of County Commissioners

Department Head/Assistant County Administrator Comments:
From Daryl Greenlee:
Keith Moriarity is an essential contributor to sustaining and improving efficiency within the Fleet Management
Department. Keith consistently provides timely and professional assistance to employees throughout Monroe
County, frequently going above and beyond the scope of his assigned duties to ensure operations continue
smoothly.
Keith has successfully developed strong and productive working relationships with the Risk Management and
Clerk of the Court Is offices, relationships that Fleet Management had not previously established to this degree.
These partnerships have significantly improved communication, coordination, and overall effectiveness. Keith
sets clear goals and actively works to achieve them, completing tasks promptly and ensuring issues do not linger.
While no one is flawless, Keith routinely identifies and corrects errors before they are brought to his attention.
Keith makes sound, thoughtful decisions and confidently acts when those decisions fall within his area of
responsibility. He clearly communicates his reasoning and provides guidance to ensure successful
implementation when needed. Fleet Management continuously seeks opportunities to control costs while
maintaining the County's fleet, and Keith's attention to detail plays a vital role in this effort. His management of

accident-related processes, coordination with body shops, receipt of new assets, and accurate entry of data into
FMIS are critical to operational efficiency and cost savings.
In addition, Keith is responsible for conducting garage inspections, contributing to a safe and secure work
environment for his teammates. He also serves on the Logistics Team in the Emergency Operations Center
(EOC), demonstrating his commitment to supporting County operations during critical events.
Keith's positive attitude, professionalism, and reliability are qualities we depend on every day and are essential to
the positive representation of Fleet Management. For these reasons, Keith Moriarity is highly deserving of
recognition through the Monroe County Employee Service Award for December.
From Jaclyn Flatt:
Keith is very deserving of this award! Keith is an asset to fleet! Keith and I work closely when making sure assets
are insured and handling repairs to claims. He makes everyone around him a better employee by constantly
providing information that is needed without even being asked. He is on top of his work and takes pride in it. He
always makes himself available and is always pleasant to speak with. Even though he is a fleet employee he
makes the Risk department a better place!

From Michael Stanek:
Keith Moriarity definitely goes above and beyond job expectations. I can depend upon Keith to respond to
queries that I have concerning locations of vehicles, vin #'s etc. These inquiries may not directly affect him or his
department; but he responds, which helps me and ultimately the taxpayer.
Keith's professionalism, concern for doing a job correctly, and having an eye out for possible improvements helps
me to ensure that inventory is correct, and to do so in a timely, efficient manner. He is always available to
bounce an idea off of and extremely knowledgeable.
He is key to organizing and overseeing the County's surplus sales. He works with me, numerous departments,
and the public to ensure that the sales are set up, completed, and run in a professional and timely manner. This
allows the County to dispose of old, obsolete assets that take up greatly sought after space, and provide funds for
the County.
