AGENDA ITEM WORDING: Discussion and direction regarding the future of commercial air
service at the Florida Keys Marathon International Airport.
ITEM BACKGROUND: In order to accommodate commercial airline service at the airport, facilities
and equipment will need to be renovated, expanded and/or acquired.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION: For the long-term economic health of the middle keys, it is
recommended by the Executive Director of Airports that efforts be continued to obtain commercial air
service at MTH.
