MONROE COUNTY MAYOR'S PROCLAMATION NATIONAL PUBLIC HEALTH WEEK APRIL 6 — 12, 2026 WHEREAS, the Florida Department of Health in Monroe County works to protect, promote and improve the health of all people in Florida through integrated state, county, and community efforts; and WHEREAS, National Public Health Week is an opportunity for communities across the United States to reflect on the contributions of public health and highlight issues such as disease control, environmental concerns, and preventable chronic diseases; and WHEREAS, the recent release of Monroe County's Community Health Assessment and the Community Health Improvement Plan revealed our community's priorities to be (1) Access to Care, (2) Substance Abuse and Mental Health, and (3) Community Safety, which includes water safety, human trafficking, and bicycle and pedestrian safety. NOW THEREFORE, I, Michelle Lincoln, Mayor of Monroe County, do hereby proclaim April — 12, 2026 as MONROE COUNTY NATIONAL PUBLIC HEALTH WEEK. Michelle Lincoln, Mayor
