AGENDA ITEM WORDING: Approval to apply for a Florida Department of Environmental
Protection Grant, FL Statue 403.7265 in the amount of up to, $100,000.00 with a 3 3% match. The
grant would be used to purchase replacement "household hazardous waste sheds" at the Long Key and
Cudjoe Transfer Stations. The current sheds were purchased in 2014 and are metal buildings which
have deteriorated due to the weather elements of the Keys. The Solid Waste Fund does have the funds
to cover the required match.
