This Change Order also extends the substantial completion date by 90 days. This project is funded by the Infrastructure Sales Tax (Fund 304). Since this is an active office building, performing demolition to get exact spalling figures for architectural drawings prior to going out for bid was not feasible. During construction, the Contractor encountered many areas requiring additional spalling repairs beyond those covered in the architectural drawings. The Contractor is already onsite performing the work, so seeking additional bids would not be cost effective or appropriate. • Project architect approves the change order.
