A RESOLUTION BY THE MONROE COUNTY BOARD
OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS APPROVING THE
RECEIPT OF A DONATION FROM PROXIMITY
PRODUCTIONS LLC TO THE MONROE COUNTY
ENVIRONMENTAL LAND MANAGEMENT AND
RESTORATION FUND
WHEREAS,the Monroe County Environmental Land Management and Restoration Fund
(Fund 160), hereinafter"Fund 160", is a Special Revenue Fund whose revenues may only be used
by the County's Land Stewardship staff for the restoration and management of Monroe County
conservation lands; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with Monroe County Resolution 149-2022, Fund 160 may
accept any donation, gift, grant, or revenue appropriated or transferred to Fund 160 by the County
Commission from any lawfully available source; and
WHEREAS, as approved by the Monroe County Board of County Commissioners
(BOCC)pursuant to Emergency Ordinance 001-2026, Proximity Productions, LLC, was issued a
License Agreement to utilize certain Monroe County conservation lands to film the television show
Bad Monkey; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the License Agreement, Proximity Productions, LLC, made a
reimbursement payment for County staff time spent on site during production to Fund 160 in the
amount of$1,939.18; and
WHEREAS, Proximity Productions, LLC did not cause damage to the native vegetation
on site that would require mitigation, but chose to make an unsolicited donation of $10,000 to
Fund 160, for a total payment into Fund 160 of$11,939.18; and
NOW THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, THAT:
Section 1. The board hereby accepts the unsolicited donation of ten thousand dollars
($10,000.00), along with the reimbursement payment for County staff time of one thousand nine
hundred thirty nine and 18/100 dollars ($1,939.18), for a total of$11,939.18, made via electronic
transfer from Proximity Productions, LLC, to Monroe County.
Section 2. The board hereby directs that the entirety of said funds be placed in the;Monroe :
