AGENDA ITEM WORDING: Recognition of Monroe County Fleet Management for earning a Top
10 national ranking in the 2026 NAFA 100 Best Fleets in America program.
ITEM BACKGROUND: Monroe County's Fleet Management Department has been ranked No. 10
among public fleet operations nationwide by the NAFA Fleet Management Association, a prestigious
honor recognizing excellence in fleet performance, innovation, efficiency, safety, and sustainability.
This national distinction highlights the outstanding work of Monroe County's Fleet Management team
in maintaining and supporting the vehicles and equipment essential to County operations and public
service delivery.
This recognition reflects Monroe County Fleet Management's continued commitment to operational
excellence, responsible stewardship of public resources, and innovative fleet practices that place the
County among the top-performing fleets in the nation. The Board's acknowledgement of this
achievement celebrates the professionalism and dedication of the Fleet Management team and their
vital role in keeping Count services running safely and efficiently.
