AGENDA ITEM WORDING: Approval to add one (1) new FTE (full time equivalent) position of
Manager, Airport Security & Operations, paygrade 314 in the FY26 budget for the Key West
International Airport. TIME APPROXIMATE 11:15 A.M.
ITEM BACKGROUND: The Key West International Airport is required to follow FAA Part 139 and
TSA 1542 regulations, and the addition of this staff position will allow an additional employee to
perform aircraft ramp control and the overall operational needs of the airport.

The FY26 Airport budget has sufficient funds to pay the salary and benefit costs; however, the salary
will depend on the candidates and their qualifications. The pay range for a paygrade 314 position is
$81,668.99 (minimum) to $130,670.39 (maximum).
