Derelict Vehicle Removal effort. TIME APPROXIMATE 10:00 A.M.
ITEM BACKGROUND: The Sheriff's office, along with Code Compliance, has been working with
Commissioner Cates to focus clean-up of derelict vehicles on Stock Island. Close to 100 vehicles
were identified as derelict. Derelict Vehicles are required to go through a rigorous process to assure
identification of owner, when possible, is completed. The Sheriff Is office works with towing
companies to remove the vehicles and process.
