AGENDA ITEM WORDING: A public hearing to consider approval of a resolution amending the
fiscal year 2026 budget for Fund 115, Tourist Development, All Districts, Two Cent. The resolution
will provide $400,000 in funding for the County's America 250 Florida Keys Celebration.
ITEM BACKGROUND: The amendment to Fund 115 is necessary to bring forward $400,000 from
the Tourist Development Council's unappropriated fund balance to be used for the America 250
Florida Keys celebration. The tentative schedule and approximate cost of associated events are as
follows;

PREVIOUS RELEVANT BOCC ACTION: On April 151h, 2026, the BOCC gave approval to
advertise a public hearing for a budget amendment to fund 115 for fiscal year 2026. On September
10th, 2025, the BOCC approved the operating & capital budget for fiscal year 2026.

A RESOLUTION CONCERNING THE RECEIPT OF UNANTICIPATED FUNDS
WHEREAS,it is necessary to conduct a public hearing as required by section 129.06,Florida Statutes,to amend the following:
Tourist Development,All Districts,Two Cent Fund 115 for the fiscal year beginning October 1,2025 and ending September 30,2026,now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY,FLORIDA,that a Public Hearing was
conducted on May 20,2026 to amend the Tourist Development,All Districts,Two Cent Fund 115 and to adopt the amended budgets as follows:
