AGENDA ITEM WORDING: Approval to advertise a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for
Continuing Surveying Services for miscellaneous projects in which construction costs do not exceed
$250,000.00 or for study activity if the fee for professional services for each individual study does not
exceed $25,000.00.
ITEM BACKGROUND:
Facilities Management (including other County Departments) requires surveying services for various
small County projects on an on-going basis.In October 2021,the County entered into 4-year Continuing
Services Agreements with the three (3) highest ranked surveying consultants. In October 2025, the
County extended the Continuing Services Agreement with one (1) of the surveying consultants for one
additional year as allowable in the agreement. The current surveying contract expires in October 2026
with no additional clauses for extension allowable.
The Facilities Management Department desires to advertise a new Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for
continuing surveying services.
PREVIOUS RELEVANT BOCC ACTION:
12/9/2020—BOCC gave approval to advertise an RFQ for surveying services.
