The meeting was a hybrid format with the Governing Board members assembled at the Harvey Government Center located at 1200 Truman Avenue, Key West, Florida. Some members of the public participated via Communications Media Technology (CMT) using a Zoom Webinar platform, while other members of the public attended the meeting in person. Chairman David Rice called the meeting to order at 9:36 AM. G-1 Roll Call. Present and answering roll call, in addition to Chairman David Rice, were Commissioner Craig Cates, Commissioner Michelle Lincoln, Commissioner Holly Raschein, and Commissioner Jim Scholl. Attending the meeting in person were Executive Director Cynthia Guerra, Office Manager John Beyers, and Counsel Greg Oropeza. Attending via CMT was Senior Property Acquisition Specialist Mark Rosch and Property Specialist Dina Gambuzza. G-2 Bulk Approvals. A motion was made by Commissioner Raschein and seconded by Commissioner Scholl to approve items G-3 though G8 in bulk. G-3 Approval of the minutes for the April 15, 2026 meeting. G-4 Review of MCLA expenses for the time period of 04/01/2026 through 04/30/2026. G-5 Monroe County Land Authority Executive Director Monthly Report for May 2026 (through April 30, 2026). G-6 Approval of a contract to purchase property for conservation within the City of Marathon - Block 10, Lot 5, Crains on Grassy Key near mile marker 58 from Shazbop LLC for the price of $14,000. G-7 Approval of a contract to purchase Tier 3 property for administrative relief and conservation - Block 3, Lot 32, Center Island on Duck Key near mile marker 61 from RIX Investments, LLC for the price of$385,000. G-8 Approval of a resolution authorizing the conveyance of real property described as Block 4, Lots 5 and 12, Amended Plat of Key Largo Park (PB 3-62), on Key Largo, having Parcel ID# 00523890-000000 and 00523960-000000 to Monroe County for affordable housing subject to a Land Use Restriction Agreement (LURA).
