ATTH: Charles"Chip"Bell email: chipPdlporter, com B574 Palmer Park Circle Sarasota, FL 34238 RE: Proposal for Lester Building Interior renovations Dear Chip: At your request I'm providing scope adjustment cost as relates to the architect's response to RFI #1 and subsequent discussions with owner where they have asked a wall separating the space from an adjacent hallway be completed to match as well.To provide the necessary framing, insulation and drywall along the perimeter walls, approximately 250 liner feet of wall 13'9"high, as we have been asked to hang the board to the deck,we herein request a change order for the amount(s)listed below. ADDITIONAL STEEL FRAMING To correct the existing perimeter wall framing, after drywall is removed by others, and also add framing to black wall in Office 8 wall, hall outside that room and that extending past office#7. ■ Framing repairs. Add$0,370.00 ADDITIONAL INSULATION The Architects response to rFI infers that 1-5/8"X 24"wide batt insulation is necessary, which frankly doesn't exist.Typicaly we would be considering Foam Board insulation configured with 2 furring steel channel at such a small measurement,The existing I- 5/8"framing has clips that held the existing wall assembly off the Ch1I1 anywhere from 2"to 3-1/2"to the face that drywall gets fastened to,I figured filling the whole cavity where necessary with the 3-1/2"insulation.Some of the 3-1/2"insulation will need to be separated a little bit as in places the cavity thickness is insufficient to accept the complete batt. regardless,we will make it work, adding energy efficiency and help with sound concerns throughout the space. • Insulation,Add$7,159.00 ADDITIONAL DRYWALL The walls will require approximately 3,511D sf of board/8D sheets with waste, much of it is high work because client seeks to have drywall taken to the deck 09". ■ Drywall,Add$15,490.00 ADDITIONAL FIRE 5 SOUND CAULKING: ■ Caulking,Add$3,850.00 TOTAL CHANGE ORDER REDDEST:Add S32,570.00 The additional work will add a week to our schedule,so it is assumed D.L.Porter will provide housing to our crew for this duration at no charge to Siraisca Commercial Construction,If housing cannot be provided, please add$1,5110.11D to this request. Respectfully, Bove Sirals President
