PREVIOUS RELEVANT BOCC ACTION: Ordinance No. 005-2023 adopted on April 19, 2023, authorizes the County Administrator to approve separate, non-cumulative change orders for construction projects and professional service contracts in amounts not to exceed $100,0000 (as amended by Ordinance No. 005-2023) or 5% of the original contract price, whichever is greater. Subsequent testing results confirmed the presence of asbestos within the project area, See attached for detailed findings from the Contractor. This Change Order includes the Contractor's costs for asbestos obatement, associated overhead and proht, and related project costs as supported by the submitted and reviewed quotations, totaling 18,430.24. This adjustment is necessary to address unforeseen hazardous materials encountered during the work and to ensure compliance with applicable environmental regulations and project requirements.
